This beautiful book tells of the profound relationship between humans and animals, and of their enormous capacity for healing and wisdom.
Madeleine's account of her life's journey with all manner of creatures, from guinea pigs to whales, is both inspiring and uplifting. The passion the writer feels for the animal kingdom and its vital role in the life of the planet is conveyed with great love that urges the reader to really hear the voices of all those who share this world.
I whole-heartedly recommend this book.

by James F Twyman
Secret Teachings from Jeshua ben Joseph

An extract from the book:

In 2003 I had the privilege of leading a group of about 65 pilgrims to the Holy Land, a journey I had made three other times on my own. In both Israel and Palestine I discovered a phenomenon that probably doesn’t exist anywhere else in the world.

On one hand, the ground seems to vibrate with the spiritual energy which the great prophets, from Abraham to Jesus and Muhammad, left in their wake. Jerusalem itself is the most sacred city in the world to both Jews and Christians, and the second most sacred city to Muslims. It is like Disney World to devout seekers, whether they be ‘religious’ or simply ‘spiritual’. On the other hand, the Holy Land is one of the most troubled areas in the world, as it has been for over two thousand years. It is a wonder, then, that Jerusalem, a city whose name translates to ‘City of Peace’, is viewed by many as ground zero for the New World where cooperation and inclusion finally prevail. Perhaps the thinking is, ‘If they can get it right there, the rest will be easy’. These are the main reasons I believe modern Spiritual Peacemakers need to come here, because in many ways it is a profound contradiction, but one that is essential for anyone focused on peace and reconciliation.

After ten days of visiting many holy sites around the Holy Land and sitting with spiritual leaders from many traditions, most of the group returned to their homes. Five others, including myself, stayed behind for three days to relax and visit several of our favourite spots without the constraints of a large group. One of those sites was the Dead Sea, particularly a resort and hot spring where the saline-rich water flows directly from the earth’s core. The spring had been filled with tourists when we visited a few days earlier, but upon our return I was happy to find it nearly deserted. Of the five people in my group, only two of us decided to enter the pool, and I was excited to have it so clear.

To back up a bit, a month earlier I had announced to my international e-mail list that I would soon be offering a web-based class called ‘The Art of Spiritual Peacemaking’. The fact that I had absolutely no idea what this class would include did not dissuade me from sending the announcement to over fifty thousand people. Weeks went by and excitement for the lessons began to build. Hundreds of people sent letters asking when the class would begin, a question I was still asking myself since I still had not received the inspiration required to write word one. I was beginning to wonder if I would ever receive clear direction, and worry was starting to build.

I believe I was thinking about this when I was soaking in the spring. Whether I was or not is of little consequence, though. I do know for sure what happened next.

The water and the minerals seemed to inspire a deep contemplation, and I was unaware of anything other than the waves of deep relaxation washing through my whole being. Nothing else existed, and my spirit seemed to shake free from my body, my friends and the motionless sea. I was at peace, vast and unfathomable peace, and I felt as if nothing would penetrate the stillness I felt.

Then I felt a presence, as if someone was standing next to me. I instantly realized, however, that it was not a body I felt beside me, but the spirit of a person I felt I recognized. In my mind I saw this spirit as a man who seemed to have walked straight out of the desert, his hair matted and his dark skin covered with sweat. But there was something else that caught my attention: his eyes. I had never seen eyes like this before, radiant and dazzling like the sun. He looked at me as if he saw more than the person floating there in the spring. He saw me, the me I rarely if ever saw myself. The love that shot from his eyes wrapped around me and filled me with Divine radiance. I knew, without his saying a word, that this was he: Jeshua, the real man who walked these same paths and roads two thousand years earlier.

I use the Aramaic name rather than the more common ‘Jesus’ for a good reason. This was not the character from a book I met, nor was it the man that had been painted by the great masters or whose image had been immortalized in statues on altars around the world. This was the real guy, the authentic man who walked and talked and ate with his friends two thousand years ago. The man I sensed next to me wasn’t the cookie-cutter Jesus but, rather, the mystical and passionate master who inspired or inflamed the land we now call holy. In an instant I knew why he inspired them so, for my own heart began to race.

All of this occurred without anyone around me even knowing. In other words, what I saw was within me, not without, and yet it was more real than anything I had ever known before. Jeshua was there, and a conversation began that has shaped my life ever since.

‘Would you like me to help you?’ Those were the words I felt extending from him, and they startled me. What did he mean? What could he help me with? It was as if he immediately knew what I was thinking. As he smiled I realized that he meant The Art of Spiritual Peacemaking course. ‘Would you like me to help you with it?’ he asked again.

The way I was raised, you don’t question such an extraordinary offer of support, especially when it comes from him. Still, I felt myself hesitate, as if I wasn’t sure what it meant, or what I would be agreeing to. Luckily, the hesitation passed and I was convinced. ‘Yes, I do need you to help me’.

Instantly, I felt something happen, as if information was being downloaded into my heart and my mind, information that I would have to access at a later date, regardless of how anxious I was to know what it was. He smiled when it was complete, then said to me, ‘When I was with my friends, I told them secrets that I couldn’t reveal to the masses. They weren’t ready… but now they are. I told them stories, but now is the time for everything to be revealed. That will be the course we will write together. I say together because it would be impossible for me to do it alone. We need each other in this. And so, the lessons will be 33 in number, and each one of them will have exactly 999 words. Within them will be a code, and it is this more than anything that will teach them.’

‘What do you mean by code?’ I asked.

‘It is simple,’ Jeshua continued. ‘The information we will write will have great significance, but there will be hidden information that the conscious mind cannot comprehend. This information will be encoded in the words. The soul will then hear what the mind cannot. In this way the secrets of the Kingdom will be revealed. They will be revealed in a way that each person may know and live them, for that is what is so needed today.’

He smiled and I felt the vision begin to disappear, and whatever had been placed inside me seemed to glow and radiate. I immediately jumped from the spring and ran to find my friends. I needed a pen and paper so I could write down everything I had just learned. When they saw me running toward them, they could see by the look in my eyes that I wasn’t the same. They asked what had happened to me, and I told them I couldn’t talk then. I found what I needed and disappeared to a secluded table where I wrote everything I had heard from Jeshua.

It's very good.

The process involves ranting about the situation, asking myself if it's true, absolutely true, asking how it would feel if I didn't need to rant, and then turning it around so I love the situation instead of hating it.

This ties in with my belief that the only thing we can ever really change is ourselves and our own reactions to situations and people around us.

This book was both motivational and inspirational; another reminder of our manifestational powers, and that we have to allow ourselves to receive the gifts we seek.
This is the 5th of the Kryon books, channellings delivered by Lee Carroll. It is a wonderful adventure story in which the hero, Michael Thomas, narrowly escapes death and finds himself in a strange land with 7 Angels as their companions.
Each angel gives him a lesson, and the opportunity to look back on his life so far, promising him that his journey will lead him home. He is given the tools to complete his journey.
He learns his lessons well and is allowed, finally, to return home.
This is written in a wonderfully gentle style, while being both amusing and powerful. Another one of my firm favourites!

Manifestation, trust, going with the flow, are all explore in a very readable style, as well as boundary setting setting and preserving ones own identity. There is a wonderful passage where a vampire appears, to illustrate the point that just because a vampire "needs" your blood to survive it is not your duty, as a loving human-being, to provide him with it. Having had many acquaintances with "vampire" tendencies, this is a lesson I sometimes need to remind myself of!

I did not expect to enjoy this book as much as I did. I am wary of "manuals," but this is written in an autobiographical style. In addition, having experienced similar phenomena to those recounted in the pages of this volume, it was interesting to read somebody else's interpretation.

The messages here are two-fold, covering healing experienced personally and how we can heal our own environment by working with the spirit of nature, and by taking very practical and grounded steps to preserve the beauty of nature. The author's journey takes her on a path along which she examines her own patterns of relationships until she finds her true soul-mate, while inter-acting with many elementals- the Fairies of the title, as well as with the Angelic Realms.

This book may not be for everyone but, this week, it was the right one for me!

This is a wonderful story which combines the scientific and the spiritual to warm the heart, as Boji explores his world, and then the world of humans, as he strays from the pod and lives in freedom, being truly himself. It is, in places, reminiscent of Jonathon Livingston Seagull, another exploration of doing something for pure pleasure, for the upliftment of ones spirit and a closer connection to all of nature.
This book was, I feel, guided into my hands. I saw the author speak about his other pusuits but he touched on his love of dolphins as he was leaving that afternoon to see one that was spending time along the coast of Dorset. I went into a shop the same week and saw a copy, but did not yet register this as a clear sign. However, in a second-hand shop I found another, for 30p, and autographed by the writer himself.
I conceded that yes, a pretty story about a dolphin was just what I needed to lift me out of depression and, yes, it did!

This is a very practical, easy to follow book about transforming your surroundings. In the East, FengShui has been used to plan the way people live for centuries and, although your initial perception may be otherwise, a lot of its features are very sensible.
Also mentioned in this book is space-clearing. That is not just a domestic manager's way of making housework sound higher status by re-labelling clearing-up, it is about using various techniques, such as sound and light to clear the energy of the home or place of work.

The book gave me a sound introduction to these concepts, and I have worked with them, and developed them, a great deal. I am very aware of the way my surroundings feel before and after a clearing. Even those of you who claim no psychic sensitivity are probably very able to detect "atmospheres" around human beings and human places.

The bagua is discussed, in a simple form that is easy to apply to your environment, along with the various "cures" such as mirrors, plants and chimes.

I have no quarrel with the Christ, only with the priests, who call the Great Goddess a demon and deny that she ever held power in this world

This book is a retelling of the story of King Arthur from the female perspective. From my knowledge of the British Isles it is likely to be one of the most accurate, as the religions at the time were "Goddess" based, taking into account the need for balance of the male and female, not suppressing one at the expense of another.

The novel tells the story of the women around Arthur: Guinevere, Morgause, Viviane and Morgaine, against the backdrop of Ancient Britain, whose ways were being eroded by the patriarchy, verging on mysogeny, of Roman Christianity. I first read this book in my early twenties, and was captivated by it as a story alone; following my early visits to The Isle of Avalon I read it again and found it to have a greater depth of meaning than I had ever imagined.

I recommend it, completely, to anyone with an interest in Ancient Religion, although some bookshops keep it strictly in the fantasy section!

He travels the world giving talks about his work, about the rising tide of spirituality, and this book documemts his own "awakening" and some of the prophecies and foundations of the "New Age."
Peter is an educated and interesting man, a mine of information. He speaks of the Harmonic Convergance that took place in Glastonbury, when he "grounded" the energies of the Age of Aquarius at the planetary heart chakra, the New Jerusalem announced in Revelations III. Much of his information is linked to the hidden knowledge alluded to by Dan Brown in the Da Vinci Code, linking The Master Jesus and his brother disciples to France and England, from where the work has continued.
This is a very interesting read.
Just as they had with The Celestine Prophecy, people were setting up groups based on it and its message. There is a part of me that resists doing what everyone else is doing; when I went into bookshops and saw Ms Bays' face smiling out on the blue and gold cover I would walk away.
Eventually, curiosity overpowered me, and I bought a copy. Like me, Brandon Bays has become an optimist, seeing the "diamond" that every person is, without focusing on the layers of dense matter we surround ourselves with. The book begins as an autobiography of her dark days, when all her emotional pain and trauma manifested itself physically, as a base-ball sized tumour within her. Against medical advice she closeted herself away and developed a programme of self-healing, on every level, and the tumour rapidly disappeared. She describes the process, and her own journey, and then provides information so that others can also travel "The Journey."
I have known great healings to occur; I have witnessed them first hand. This book describes a route to healing and, even without a physical dis-ease as extreme as cancer, my own belief is that any dis-harmony of mind or spirit can become serious physical illness if not treated. So, I am pleased to recommend this book as an inspiring read.

On one of my trips to Glastonbury a group of us were sitting around the kitchen table talking about the use of crystal pendula. It took some practice, holding the crystal steady enough to see a response to our questions, but at some stage in the evening the shiny blue paperback landed before me.
Listening to the enthusiastic comments of the assembled group, I decided to take the book to bed and I was, immediately, hooked. It is a novel, a "spiritual adventure story," which many have found to be life-changing. Over the years I have bought and given away many copies, as it is a brilliant introduction to many concepts that were starting to bubble up inside my head. As I read it was as if the dominoes that I had mentally stood on edge around my life-space were given their final nudge, and they fell freely as I read.
To quote the front cover, The Celestine Prophecy contains "9 key insights into life itself-
insights each human being is being predicted to grasp sequentially, one insight then another, as we move toward a completely spiritual culture on earth." I was, at the time, consciously seeking, as I still am; every day we learn more, as our experience grows. We do not read our way to enlightenment, and there is no one book, no one religion or spiritual practice, but in the reading of this book I pulled together awarenesses previously partly formed: synchronicity, meditation, past lives, attaining and maintaining higher levels of energy are some examples. As a mark of its success, the book was initially self-published, but it caused such a stir in America that it was soon taken up by a mainstream publisher and became a best-seller.

I am happy to recommend this book to anyone. It started me on a journey that has been, and continues to be,full of joy and miracles.
